As Princeton reaffirms its commitment to making anti-racism a central tenet of University life and as new programs are added, this list will expand.
ODUS Resources
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Arts Circuit
The EDI in the Arts Circuit provides support for student leaders of performing arts groups as they develop a rigorous anti-racism lens that permeates everyday practices of their respective groups and the overall Princeton arts community. Facilitated by the Alumni Arts Alliance (A3), the program is broken down into three phases, two of which have already been completed: The Critical Conversations, Tigers Tackle Transformation Summit, A3 consultations. Participants include thirty-five student group leaders representing thirteen different groups. Currently student leaders are working to implement the anti-racist action plans they developed during the summit.

The First Year Residential Experience is a coordinated set of programs and opportunities for first year students, framed to signal important community values related to:

Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Life
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion-Campus Life is committed to supporting and challenging all undergraduate and graduate students by facilitating co-curricular experiences and learning about identity, inclusion, equity, and social justice education. We serve the campus community through education, advising and training, and university-wide programming.
Princeton Athletics, Tigers Together
In collaboration with student leaders, coaches, alumni, athletics administrators and University partners, Princeton Athletics has established Tigers Together, an aggressive action plan to create and maintain a culture of mutual respect and unity and to use our platform to combat bias based on gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race and all other marginalized identities.
Racial Equity at Princeton
President Eisgruber’s announcement of University commitments focused on combating racism is the first step in a strategic process. Throughout the 2020-2021 academic year, Cabinet officers and other administrative and academic leaders will be developing detailed plans related to each of the identified areas and other projects still under consideration. Updates about actions, timelines and opportunities to offer input and feedback will be posted on the site periodically.

Anti-Racism Reading List
Princeton undergraduates Lauren Johnson ’21 and Ashley Hodges ’21 have created a reading list designed to give allies and activists a first glimpse into the world of anti-racism. The two students curated a list of dozens of the best books and articles on topics ranging from Black feminist theory to prison and police abolition. The full list can be found here.
Partnerships
Source of Knowledge is a Black-owned bookstore and community center located in Newark, NJ. At many FOCUS Speaker Series panel events, undergraduate attendees have been offered free copies of panelists’ books. FOCUS purchases these books from Source of Knowledge, which is an invaluable distributor of anti-racist literature as well as a pillar of Newark’s Black community.
African American Graphic Designers (AAGD) is a Brooklyn-based collective of Black graphic designers. PLACEHOLDER created a logo and branding for the program, and continues to provide marketing and web-design services to FOCUS.
